This place is in the mountains and the views are wonderful. It is a ministry and it's setup for groups.The accommodations remind me of a dorm. The room was warm and clean. The decor was pretty dated, but that's not why you go here.
The worst. Filthy. Dead flies littered window seal and floor. Exposed light fixtures. Smoke detector beeping for low battery. No TV service. Absolutely horrible
The owner/operators of Hermit Basin really know the area well. They are laid-back, and so is their Conference Center. A hike up the former ski slopes (the center was originally intended as a ski resort) gets you to the Rainbow Trail. In the summer, look for raspberries and strawberries along the way!
